Beth Good

Beth joined Resource Royalty in 2012 as CFO, where she has overseen financial reporting and investor relations, as well as assisted in the acquisitions and divestments of mineral portfolios. In 2018, Beth became a Partner at Resource Royalty and in 2022 was named President. In addition to her deep industry knowledge as a historical Manager of Resource Royalty, Beth brings significant experience in financial reporting, auditing, and fund management. Beth started her career at KPMG before moving into private equity fund management. Working for a multi-billion-dollar private equity fund in Dallas, she oversaw financial reporting, coordinated audits, and worked in investor relations. Most recently, Beth worked in a similar role in the fund management division of JPMorgan in Dallas.

Brian Sone

Partner & Vice President of Capital Markets

Brian has raised over $200 million in various private placement offerings throughout his career. As Vice President of Capital Markets, Brian is responsible for sourcing new investments across the country. Before joining Resource Royalty, he began his career at Bank of America/Merrill Lynch, where he was focused on alternative investments. Brian holds a B.A. in Economics & Commerce from Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia. Brian is a registered representative of JCC Capital Markets, LLC Member FINRA.

Christy Ewert

Vice President of Land

In her role as Vice President of Land, Christy manages all aspects of land, title, and division order work for Resource Royalty. She oversees more than 400,000 gross acres for new well activity and production updates and maintains all investor and portfolio ownership records, including vesting changes, division orders, and acquisitions and divestments. Christy also contributes significantly to investor reporting, marketing, due diligence, curative, and investor relations. With nearly 20 years in the industry, Christy has deep knowledge and experience in all phases of land work. Prior to joining Resource Royalty in 2018, she spent seven years at XTO Energy, a subsidiary of Exxon Mobil, as a senior division order analyst, and five years as an independent landman, running title and taking leases in the Barnett Shale of North Texas. Christy is a fifth-generation oil and gas professional in Texas and a graduate of Southern Methodist University. She resides in Dallas with her husband and young son.

Christy Wilson

Christy is an established accountant with more than 15 years of experience. She joined Resource Royalty in 2017, bringing her extensive knowledge of tax and audit. Christy earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Accounting from Kansas State University. She lives in Dallas with her husband, Russ, and enjoys spending time with their three kids. Christy is an active member at her church and her children’s schools.

Virginia Davis

Virginia Davis is a very experienced professional in office management, financial reporting, databases, and customer relations. She served the vast of her career in the Georgia state government. In 2018, Virginia joined Resource Royalty as a team member of the Accounting Department. Virginia relocated to Dallas, TX, from Atlanta, GA, with her spouse. She loves spending time with family and friends and enjoys sports.

Clayton Deering

Clayton is a Reservoir Engineer with 20 years of industry experience. He has been involved with exploration and production engineering throughout his career, focusing on asset evaluation, reserves, production enhancement, and acquisitions and divestitures.

Throughout his career, he has been responsible for evaluating and advising over $500 million worth of minerals and working/non-operated properties across every major oil and gas producing basin in the lower 48. He brings a significant amount of experience from working for both large and small market-cap companies and from both public and private companies.

Katherine Bowen

Katherine joined Resource Royalty in 2024 as Executive Assistant. With an extensive background in commercial real estate and an attention to detail, Katherine is able to help out each team member with whatever project they have going on. Katherine has a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism from Abilene Christian University. In her free time, Katherine volunteers with Dallas Pets Alive and enjoys exploring East Texas wineries and antique stores.

Cathleen Good

Cathleen brings extensive technical accounting, financial reporting, asset valuation, business combination, and internal control experience. Prior to joining Resource Royalty, Cathleen was an Audit Senior Manager at Deloitte and Touche LLP (“Deloitte”), where she spent the first twelve years of her career. While at Deloitte, she managed PCAOB and AICPA audits, including audits of large-accelerated filers in the consumer product, retail, healthcare, and industrial products space. Cathleen holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and a Masters of Science in Accounting from Southern Methodist University’s Cox School of Business. Cathleen is also a Certified Public Accountant.

Logan Rainey

Logan is the co-founder of Blue River Resources, a full-service land and title company. He is also a principal in Silver Oak Natural Resources, a privately held oil and gas company focused on acquisition, exploration, production, and development of domestic oil and gas properties.

Prior to forming Silver Oak and Blue River Resources, Logan helped launch American Energy – Minerals, LLC with Aubrey K. McClendon, founder of Chesapeake Energy, and he held numerous roles in land and business development at Chesapeake Energy. Through his many years of industry experience, Logan has generated and fostered a vast network of relationships with private and public energy companies across most basins in the U.S.

Lauryn Barnes

Lauryn has been in the industry since 2011 and joined Resource Royalty in 2022 as a Division Order Analyst on the Investor Relations team. Her responsibilities include investor relations, financial reporting, building DOI spreadsheets for new offerings, and notifying operators of transfers and processing division orders.

Before joining Resource Royalty, she spent ten years at Eddye Dreyer Financial Services LLC as a Bookkeeper and Division Order Analyst. She worked directly with their landman, assisting all mineral management clients, processing transfers, division orders, and unclaimed property. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Texas at Dallas. In her spare time, she enjoys volunteering for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

Nick Berry

Nick is a co-founder of a yield-oriented real estate fund (Berry-Rock Homes LLC) in the single-family space, managing almost 700 homes in Oklahoma and Missouri. The Fund offers a mortgage alternative, enabling prospective homeowners to rent until they have established sufficient credit to purchase a home. The Fund has raised capital across multiple investor types, including those with professional advisors and a state government agency. In 2022, the Oklahoma Land Office made its first foray into direct investments, placing an eight-million-dollar investment into the Fund.

In addition to his real estate efforts, Nick has a five-year track record in the energy sector, launching a company focused on purchasing operated oil and gas wells in the Midcontinent Region. This company’s strategy is focused on enhancing recovery and further developing each leasehold. The company has completed purchases from several groups, including a package of assets from Continental Resources.

Nick also co-founded an insurance carrier focused on insuring community banks against loan loss within their portfolios. Through this insurance carrier, they act as a risk-sharing counterparty to financial institutions, helping the partner banks create healthier and more stable balance sheets.

Maria Medina

Maria is a seasoned accounting professional and has worked for many different companies during her career. Her experience spans many different industries, including communication systems, individual and family services, financial services, and commercial real estate. Prior to joining Resource Royalty in 2015, Maria worked as a Senior International Accountant for Jones Lang LaSalle, where she serviced many multinational clients. Maria holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from the University of Puerto Rico. She currently resides in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and enjoys traveling with her family, playing pickleball, and actively supporting several philanthropic organizations.
